The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec is pleased to announce that the maximum grant under the Vivacité program has been doubled from $25,000 to $50,000. Immigrant and visible minority professional artists and writers are eligible to apply. The program is designed to promote the expression of cultural diversity in all parts of Québec.
The CALQ is increasing the amount of the grant in order to improve the remuneration received by these artists and writers, and to help them carry out major projects. Applicants may reside in any region of Québec. Exploration, research, creation, production, presentation, professional development and travel expenses in all disciplines supported by the CALQ are eligible for funding under the Vivacité program. Applications may be submitted at any time.
For more information about the eligibility criteria and to access the forms, go to the CALQ website.
The Vivacité program is part of the CALQ’s efforts to improve access to its financial assistance programs for minority artists and promote their full participation in Québec’s artistic life and cultural development.
