Receive feedback on an application
The feedback system is based on consultations with professional artists who have served on various juries. That process helped the CALQ develop tools for jury members to indicate how a grant application could be improved. The feedback system meets artists’ expressed need for information on how to improve their future grant applications and is in line with the CALQ’s commitment to supporting artists. Recently, the CALQ also created the CALQ grant primer This link will open in a new window, a series of videos that provide advice on writing grant applications.

The other sections will follow later and the artists will be informed at the appropriate time. Only artists who have submitted their applications from August 27, 2022 for the Creation component, or from August 24, 2023 for the Exploration and research, Professional Development and Public presentation components will therefore benefit from this new tool.
