A tool to support artists
The result of consultations with professional artists who have participated on juries, this initiative responds to a need expressed by artists to receive information to help them hone future applications. It is part of the Conseil's desire to fully support artists and comes on the heels of the creation of the CALQ grant primer This link will open in a new window video series, which has wide-ranging advice for writing grant applications.
While the goal of this system is to help artists be more effective in future applications, it does not guarantee a positive response. In addition to the evaluation, grants are awarded based on several factors, such as the number of applications received and budget available.
