Provisions respecting the intellectual property rights of Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec
The information on this site is the property of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), which holds the intellectual property rights pertaining thereto.
Unless otherwise indicated, the Conseil's rights apply to all documents, data, compilations and other works disseminated on the site.
The Conseil's logo and government trademarks are also protected.
Anyone may, for his personal use, without authorization and free of charge, reproduce in any way or download the documents, data, compilations and other works on the site, provided that the source is acknowledged. In all other instances, authorization must first be obtained from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (see the section on "Intellectual property rights").
Integrity of information
The CALQ guarantees the integrity of information at precisely the time that it appears on the site and not subsequently. Moreover, the Conseil in no way guarantees any document, datum or other content once it has been altered or modified in any way whatsoever following downloading or otherwise. The official text takes precedence when a divergence arises between an official text and the content of this site.
Intellectual property rights
Intellectual property rights are the exclusive rights that the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec holds on the documents that it produces or publishes, whether such documents are administrative or official texts, e.g. legislation, regulations, judgments, and so on, or are produced by its employees or by a third party who transfers to the Conseil his rights or confers upon it a user licence. Such rights include, in particular, copyright.
Compilations of data and information on a government site are works protected by copyright in the same way as a multimedia, literary, musical or artistic work. The use by a third party of such documents is, therefore, unless otherwise indicated and as provided for by exceptions in the relevant legislation, subject to authorizations, licences, permissions or grants of an interest in a copyright by the government. This is especially true of storage for purposes other than strictly personal purposes, which are permitted.
Anyone who wishes for reasons other than personal reasons to reproduce, print, publish, store, download, translate, reproduce in public sounds or images or transmit by telecommunication, i.e. broadcast by means of waves, cable or satellite, any document, datum or other item found on this site, in whole or in part, must first obtain the authorization of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
Furthermore, once someone has obtained such authorization, he may neither remove the name of the author(s) of the source nor alter the content by addition, suppression or otherwise, without, in particular, infringing the moral rights of the authors concerned.
Requests for authorization must be submitted to the Direction des communications of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec:
