Larry Tremblay is a playwright, poet, novelist, essayist, director, actor, and educator. Born in Chicoutimi and a lover of India, he delved into a new vision of the actor’s body in kathakali and developed a taste for creation both in joy and in adversity thanks to the rasa.

Inspired by the work of Francis Bacon, Larry Tremblay anchors feelings in the flesh and the musicality of words to express the tragedies of his time. He explores the origins of violence, the fragility of identity construction, and the incessant battle of humanity with a dehumanizing world. Contemporary and timeless as fables, his universal stories build on and respond to one other, whether serious or whimsical.

A prolific author of a multifaceted body of work, he reaches audiences of all ages and backgrounds, leaving it to them to decide between good and bad. Translated into over 20 languages, his lucid and radiant body of work has travelled to every continent and received many prestigious awards.
